The Peterborough Timbermen dropped to 0-4 on the young Arena Lacrosse League season with a second consecutive loss to the Paris RiverWolves.
The Timbermen played the home team at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa on Saturday but that slight advantage could not help them in a 13-10 loss.
The RiverWolves previously beat the Timbermen 14-11 in Paris last weekend.
The Timbermen fought back from a 5-2 deficit at the half to tie the game at eight in the third quarter. A pair of power play goals from Tim Bergin and Dan Michel and a shorthanded marker from Doug Utting evened the game. However, despite outshooting the RiverWolves 50-39, the Timbermen lost momentum and were outscored 5-2 in the final quarter.
Cole Murray made 27 saves in the game for Peterborough. Kevin Orleman made 40 saves for the visitors.
Brendan Thenhaus scored three goals and six assists to lead Paris.
Dan Michel was named third star of the game.
Not dressed for the Timbermen were Broedie Birkhof, Cam Crowe, Matt Crough, Ryan Masters, Brock McGillis, Curtis Singleton, and Zack Thompson.
The Timbermen have a bye week before taking on the Six Nations Snipers at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena on Saturday, February 11 at 4:00pm. They will play home games at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on February 26 and March 19. Tickets for those games are on sale now at the PMC box office.
