The Peterborough Timbermen are proud to announce the introduction of Kawartha Lax Youth Clinics, a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting youth lacrosse in the Peterborough, Kawartha and Durham areas. The Timbermen will host five free clinics in the upcoming weeks for girls and boys ages 6-12 at Children’s Arena in Oshawa (155 Arena Street).
Dates:
- Saturday February 16th, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Saturday March 2nd, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Saturday March 16th, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Saturday March 23rd, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
- Saturday Mar 30th, 11 p.m. – 12 p.m.
Children will be instructed by Timbermen staff and players, including the following:
- Joe Sullivan, NLL Coach & Associate GM 11 years, NLL Coach of the Year, GM Head Coach Peterborough Timbermen, 4 Mann Cup Championship Peterborough Lakers, 1 Minto Cup Championship, Senior Lacrosse Coach of the Year 2X
- Ray Dance, Jr A Coach Peterborough Lakers, Goalie Jr A and Senior Lacrosse
- Derrick Crough, Coach Cobourg Kodiaks MSL, Player with Peterborough Lakers and instructor Evolve Lacrosse

Kids should bring their own stick, gloves and helmet. In an effort to reach as many kids as possible, please contact Joe or Anna if you have a child who would like to attend that needs equipment and arrangements can be made.
The Timbermen are currently in second place in Arena Lacrosse League action and boast some of the league’s brightest talent including Mark Vradenburg, Ty Thompson and Colton Armstrong. The ALL is the official feeder league to the National Lacrosse League. As part of our team’s mandate of growth and development, we look forward to mentoring, coaching and educating young boys and girls about our national summer sport, the great game of lacrosse.
