The Peterborough Timbermen have had to reschedule their home opener at Millbrook Arena.
Originally set to be played this coming Saturday, December 21, the arena isn’t quite ready for use yet.
“The carpet is being laid and beams for the heaters are being installed,” explained head coach Joe Sullivan. “Until the arena is what we want for our fans and players we are willing to wait to make the facility a true experience for lacrosse fans.”
Instead, the Timbermen will open their season on the road December 28th in Oshawa vs the Outlaws.
Their home opener will take place on Saturday, January 4 at 3 p.m. against the Paris RiverWolves, with the December 21st game vs the Whitby Steelhawks rescheduled for Friday, February 7th at 8 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for children under 14. Season ticket information is forthcoming.
