The Peterborough Timbermen are excited to announce a trade that helps solidify the team’s commitment to bringing an Arena Lacrosse League championship to Millbrook Arena.
Coming back to the Timbermen is forward Cam Milligan from the Oshawa Outlaws.
Milligan’s rights were held by the Timbermen briefly in 2023 after he and Mark Farthing were acquired from the Whitby Steelhawks. Neither suited up for the Timbermen and they were eventually traded to Oshawa to bring Cole Hanrahan to Peterborough.
Timbermen head coach and general manager Joe Sullivan can’t wait to have Milligan in the lineup.
“Cam will be an immediate impact player that will fill the hole left with Aaron Woods called up to Halifax,” Sullivan stated. “Cam is an incredible playmaker that sees the floor well, makes highlight-reel passes and makes everyone on the floor better.”
In four seasons with Whitby, Milligan scored 215 points including 80 goals and 135 assists. He added 37 points in five games with Oshawa last season.
Milligan is currently on the practice roster for the Toronto Rock but hasn’t seen any playing time. He was also re-acquired by the MSL’s Peterborough Century 21 Lakers this past summer after spending several summers with the Cobourg Kodiaks.
Heading to Oshawa are Austin Murphy, a 2026 draft pick, and the rights to Joey Szabo and Aaron Forster. Murphy was acquired from Whitby in the offseason and made it into three games this season for Peterborough, scoring six goals and two assists.
The Timbermen are back in action this Saturday, January 17 when the Outlaws visit Millbrook Arena at 2 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door.
